@YinYinFalcon Hummus is decently easy to do provided you have a blender! The big hassle is having to set them in water the day before, but I highly recommend giving it a try =D
@glomzubuk also the cans I bought here last several years - if they taste good there is no beating having them around as backup :D

@glomzubuk I know - have done it regularly before
still have a big can of chickpeas for that
however unfortunately it tends to spoil before I can eat all of it and the hassle hasn't really been worth it for smaller portions
+ it doesn't taste quite as well as my favourites
*however* I have recently discovered there are many different ways to prepare the chickpeas and if I can find skinned ones it might be worthwhile to try again
